Seeing the world through the eyes of a child...

I've just found this amazing collection of children creativity and I thought to share it with you.

I love the simplicity with which it is possible to get a glimpse of these children lives.

I used to run similar workshops with children and I found them a really good way to get in contact with their real life and understand their personality.

Is anyone working on or is aware of similar projects? Thanks!

this is a brilliant idea to do with kids - the ones on the link have been done by professional artists, reminising about their childhood but a great one for children. I'm doing craft workshops in the school holidays so this will definately be one of our prjects. I'll let you know how we get on.

Wow, I thought children did them. I should have read it more carefully, thank you! Here is a picture from the 'theater' workshops I used to run with 7-8 years old. The aim was to make children design a theater scene and invent a story (they also had to write the story down). The workshops were following Bruno Munari approach to design (every child has to develop a unique idea and find solution to problems himself).
The result was amazing. Let me know if you would like to learn more about it. Otherwise looking forward to hear how you get on with your workshops.

MANIFESTOS (or, Tell Us What You Really Think)

There's a venerable tradition of artists' manifestos, which always seem to pop up especially at times of great cultural and political change (post WW1 dadaists; them 60s experimenters...) so, given that we are living through times of extraordinary change right now, I thought I'd start a thread for MANIFESTOS RELATING TO MAKING ART FOR CHILDREN.Don't have one?  Nor did I until 24 hours ago, then I decided I'd write one.So get going, and it'd be grand to see them here...See More

On encouraging young audiences (or their parents) to take risks

http://www.itstheforest.comWhy should parents bring their children to see something like my company's dance piece 'The Forest'?When it’s half term and I scan the pages of the ‘what’s on for children’ sections of magazines I want to know that the experiences I choose for my children will be, to be honest, worth the effort, that they will enjoy it, that they will be enriched in some way, in any way, by what they’ve seen.I want to take them…See More
